Conversations Matter and beyondblue 'Have the Conversation' for World Mental Health Day

Today the Hunter Institute of Mental Health and Conversations Matter team welcome a new national initiative called ‘Have the Conversation’ launched by beyondblue to guide Australians on how to approach someone they think may be struggling with depression or anxiety, and how to talk to someone about how you are feeling.

Complementing the Conversations Matter resources developed by the Hunter Institute, these resources launched for World Mental Health Day aim to support communities to talk about depression and anxiety.

‘Have the Conversation’ resources include practical tips about how community members can approach a friend or family member they may be concerned about or alternatively, how individuals can talk to someone, if they are having a tough time.

These support the Conversations Matter resources available as podcasts, online presentations and fact sheets which provide practical advice to people when:
